Amir meets the Prime Minister of Belgium

The Amir of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, recently met with the Prime Minister of Belgium, HE Alexander De Croo, during the first summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union in Brussels. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Qatar and Belgium, as well as discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the situations in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon. The summit agenda also touched on important topics that were of significance to both countries.
The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials from Qatar, including Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, and other members of the official delegation.
On the Belgian side, a number of senior officials were also present during the meeting. The discussions between HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE Alexander De Croo were aimed at strengthening the ties between the two countries and exploring opportunities for further collaboration in various fields. Both leaders exchanged views on the current regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of finding peaceful solutions to conflicts in the Middle East.
The meeting highlighted the commitment of Qatar and Belgium to working together to address common challenges and promote stability and prosperity in the region. The leaders expressed their support for efforts to resolve the ongoing crises in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon, while also discussing ways to enhance economic cooperation and trade relations between their countries.
Overall, the meeting between the Amir of Qatar and the Prime Minister of Belgium was a productive and positive exchange that underscored the strong diplomatic relations between the two nations. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to furthering cooperation and partnership in various sectors, including politics, economy, and culture.
