The Kingdom of Bahrain is focused on implementing the goals set forth in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and is also working towards achieving the ambitious objectives outlined in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2050. The Cabinet, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is dedicated to accelerating efforts to achieve these goals. During a recent session at Gudaibiya Palace, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Cabinet praised HM King Hamad’s address at the opening of the third session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, highlighting the importance of his directives in shaping the future of the government and national development.

One of the key priorities outlined by the Cabinet is the strengthening of the Bahraini identity, with a focus on striking a balance between openness and national security. This includes safeguarding natural resources and maximizing their potential for investment in order to ensure a secure, sustainable, and prosperous future for the Kingdom. The address also highlighted efforts to enhance food security and manage natural resources using modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to drive sustainable development. The Cabinet underscored the importance of fostering cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Authorities, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of various leaders and members in advancing the relationship between the two branches of government.

In recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the first Municipal Council elections, the Cabinet expressed gratitude to the municipal councils for their role in the overall development of the Kingdom. Additionally, the Cabinet praised Bahraini engineers for their contributions to the country, especially in light of Bahraini Engineer’s Day. The successful hosting of the twenty-ninth edition of Routes World 2024, a prestigious event in the aviation industry, was also highlighted, with the Cabinet commending the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for their organizational efforts in ensuring the event’s success.

During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed and approved several memorandums, including a memorandum related to the activities of authorized distributors submitted by the Government Executive Committee. A draft resolution concerning the Traffic Council’s internal regulation, presented by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs, was also approved. Additionally, the Cabinet addressed a memorandum regarding cooperation in culture, antiquities, and handicrafts with the Republic of Cyprus, as well as government responses to eight draft proposals and four draft laws from the Council of Representatives and a draft proposal from the Shura Council.

Overall, the Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to advancing its economic and development goals as outlined in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and 2050. The Cabinet’s emphasis on strengthening the Bahraini identity, enhancing cooperation between government branches, and expressing gratitude for contributions made by municipal councils and Bahraini engineers demonstrates a holistic approach to nation-building and sustainable development. By prioritizing the efficient management of natural resources, utilizing modern technologies, and fostering collaboration at both the national and international levels, Bahrain is poised for a secure and prosperous future.
