The Oman Meteorology department has issued a warning stating that the tropical condition is expected to peak on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15-16, 2024. During this time, the country is likely to experience rainfall of varying intensity, ranging between 40-90 mm. The National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards has indicated that this tropical condition will affect the governorates of Oman starting Monday evening, with the peak impact expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The rainfall is expected to lead to the flow of valleys and ravines, with some areas experiencing torrential downpours. This could potentially result in flooding in certain areas. The Oman Meteorology department has advised residents to take precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts. It is important to be aware of any potential risks associated with the heavy rainfall and to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of oneself and others.

It is crucial to be prepared for the impact of the tropical condition and to take necessary precautions to avoid any potential dangers. Residents are advised to avoid driving through flooded areas, stay away from rivers and wadis, and secure any loose objects that may be blown away by strong winds. It is also recommended to have emergency supplies on hand, such as food, water, and other essential items, in case of any disruptions caused by the heavy rainfall.

In addition to the heavy rainfall, strong winds are also expected to accompany the tropical condition. These strong winds could potentially cause damage to property and infrastructure. Therefore, it is advisable to secure any outdoor furniture, plants, or other objects that may be vulnerable to wind damage. Residents are urged to stay indoors during periods of strong winds and to avoid unnecessary travel.

The Oman Meteorology department will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and follow any instructions or advisories given by local authorities. By being proactive and prepared, individuals can help ensure their safety and well-being during this period of tropical weather conditions in Oman.

Overall, it is important for residents of Oman to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the peak of the tropical condition on Tuesday and Wednesday. By staying informed, being prepared, and following safety guidelines, individuals can help minimize the impact of heavy rainfall and strong winds in the country.
