Nasser Al Attiyah, the Qatari rally driver, secured his seventh Rally of Morocco title on Friday, also claiming his third consecutive World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) title. This victory comes after his wins at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and Rally Raid Portugal, redeeming himself after a non-finish at this year’s Dakar Rally. In the final stage in Morocco, Al Attiyah and his co-driver Edouard Boulanger finished eighth behind stage winner Sebastien Loeb, still managing to seal both the rally and world title.

With 202 points, Al Attiyah finished 42 points ahead of his closest rival, Yazeed Al Rajhi of Saudi Arabia. Al Attiyah’s teammate, Loeb, secured the second spot on the podium after winning the previous stage, setting up a promising outcome for Team Dacia just three months before the Dakar Rally. Despite experiencing a mechanical issue and stopping in the middle of the stage, Guillaume De Mevius managed to maintain his position on the overall podium, showcasing the competitiveness of the rally.

Al Attiyah’s consistent performance throughout the season has not only earned him the Rally of Morocco title but also allowed him to claim his third consecutive W2RC title. This achievement solidifies his reputation as one of the top rally drivers in the world, showcasing his skill, determination, and ability to overcome challenges. With his victories at multiple prestigious events, Al Attiyah has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of rally-racing, setting the stage for future success and further accolades in the sport.

The Rally of Morocco serves as a crucial event in the rally calendar, attracting top drivers from around the world to compete in challenging terrain and conditions. For Al Attiyah, this victory is not only a testament to his skill behind the wheel but also a reflection of his team’s dedication and expertise in preparing for and executing successful rally campaigns. The support of his co-driver, Edouard Boulanger, and the entire team has been instrumental in Al Attiyah’s success, highlighting the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving high-level results in motorsport.

As Al Attiyah celebrates his seventh Rally of Morocco title and third consecutive W2RC title, he looks ahead to future challenges and opportunities in the world of rally-racing. With his impressive track record and determination to succeed, Al Attiyah is poised to continue making a mark on the sport, inspiring fans and fellow competitors with his skill, passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence. His dominance in the Rally of Morocco and W2RC titles cements his status as a legendary figure in the world of rally-racing, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the years to come.
