261 Filipinos avail of complimentary medical services through embassy initiative

The Philippine Embassy in Bahrain, along with the Filipino community organization Triskelion International Council-Bahrain, recently organized a Bayanihan Medical, Dental, and Optical Consultation for Filipinos living in the country. This event was a collaborative effort with the support of various medical centers, organizations, and professionals in Bahrain. The goal of the event was to provide free health services to Filipino expatriates in the region.

Many Filipino doctors and physical therapists, as well as the Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre, Awal Dental Specialist Center, and Al Duom Optical, came together to offer their services to the Filipino community. Additionally, several Filipino organizations such as the Filipino Pharmacist Association in Bahrain, Philippine Nurses Association Bahrain, United Bicolanos in Bahrain, and the Filipino-American Community, also contributed to the event. A total of 261 Filipinos benefited from the free health services provided during the consultation.

The services offered at the event included doctor’s consultations, physical examinations, vision screenings, dental examinations, physical therapy sessions, random blood testing, blood pressure checks, and urine dipstick tests. The Filipino Pharmacist Association in Bahrain distributed free medicines and vitamins to the clients, while Al Duom Optical provided free eyeglass frames to those in need. The event aimed to address the healthcare needs of the Filipino community in Bahrain and promote overall wellness among expatriates.

The Bayanihan Medical, Dental, and Optical Consultation event was a great success and received positive feedback from participants. Many Filipinos expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to receive free healthcare services and consultations. The collaboration between the Philippine Embassy, Filipino community organizations, and medical professionals in Bahrain highlights the strong sense of community and support among Filipino expatriates in the region.

Events like the Bayanihan Medical, Dental, and Optical Consultation not only provide much-needed healthcare services to the Filipino community in Bahrain but also demonstrate the importance of collaboration and unity within the expatriate community. By coming together to support and care for one another, Filipinos in Bahrain showcase the spirit of bayanihan, a traditional Filipino value of communal unity and cooperation in times of need. Such initiatives contribute to the overall well-being and health of the Filipino expatriate population in Bahrain.

Overall, the Bayanihan Medical, Dental, and Optical Consultation organized by the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino community organization in Bahrain successfully provided essential health services to hundreds of Filipinos living in the country. Through the support of various medical centers, professionals, and Filipino organizations, the event was able to address the healthcare needs of the community and promote overall wellness among expatriates. This collaborative effort reflects the strong sense of community and unity among Filipinos in Bahrain and highlights the value of coming together to support one another in times of need.
