The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, recently chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan, where a number of important issues were discussed. The meeting covered local, regional, and international topics, with appropriate decisions being made in response to these discussions. The Prime Minister praised the speech of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit, highlighting Qatar’s stance on the Palestinian crisis, Israeli escalation in Lebanon, and the importance of sports diplomacy in achieving global peace and stability.

One of the key decisions made during the meeting was the approval of the draft water law, which aims to enhance water security, preserve water resources, and improve the efficiency of water services. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the executive regulations of Law No. (10) of 2020 on the protection of industrial designs and models, to strengthen the legal system for intellectual property protection. Amendments were also made to the grievances committee related to real estate expropriation, in line with the country’s real estate development regulations.

The Cabinet discussed proposals from the Shura Council regarding rainwater accumulation, directing relevant government agencies to provide an explanatory memorandum on their actions in this regard. Measures were also approved to prepare for the upcoming rainy season, emphasizing the importance of proactive planning and implementation. The Cabinet further approved agreements on cooperation in combating crime with the Hellenic Republic, as well as memorandums of understanding with Mauritania and Greece on tourism, business events, and news exchange.

In conclusion, the Cabinet reviewed reports on the Qatari Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations, the participation of Qatar’s delegation in the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf, and the 12th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. Appropriate decisions were made based on these reports, highlighting Qatar’s commitment to international cooperation, justice, and humanitarian endeavors. Overall, the Cabinet meeting demonstrated Qatar’s proactive approach to addressing critical issues and promoting collaboration with other nations for mutual benefit and global peace.
