Al Khalifa praised the Somali government for its progress in various areas, including efforts to improve humanitarian, economic, and social conditions within the country. Despite facing challenges such as terrorism, climate change, droughts, floods, and food insecurity, Somalia has made strides in areas like national reconciliation, anti-corruption efforts, and the advancement of the rights of women, children, and persons with disabilities.

The State of Qatar has demonstrated its commitment to Somalia by providing aid and humanitarian assistance in various forms. This includes signing agreements aimed at developing the education and health sectors, supporting strategic development projects, enhancing disaster management capacities, promoting security and stability, and rehabilitating government institutions and facilities. Qatar’s efforts in supporting Somalia align with the country’s priorities and goals for sustainable development.

It is important for the international community to continue supporting Somalia in its efforts to address humanitarian and developmental challenges. The State of Qatar’s support for Somalia highlights the importance of international cooperation in achieving sustainable development and promoting human rights.

In conclusion, the State of Qatar’s statement at the Human Rights Council highlights the importance of continued support for Somalia in its efforts to address humanitarian and developmental challenges.
