Qatar Social Responsibility Week commences

The Qatar Social Responsibility Week, organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family in cooperation with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and the Regional Consulting Network, has kicked off with a range of activities that will continue until October 14. The initiative aims to motivate companies, institutions, and entrepreneurs to contribute effectively to the development of Qatari society. HE Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad highlighted the importance of social responsibility as a partnership between the private sector and society, emphasizing the positive impact that can be achieved through such collaborations for a more sustainable and secure future.

HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad stressed that the success of the private sector should not only be measured by profits but also by the positive and sustainable impact it has on society. She emphasized that the Qatar Social Responsibility Week represents a golden opportunity to direct resources and expertise towards projects that can improve various aspects of society, such as education, health, sustainability, and social solidarity. The Ministry of Social Development and Family is proud to support the event as it aligns with their vision of investing in people to achieve National Vision 2030.

President of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Affendi, acknowledged the efforts made by entities in Qatar in the field of social responsibility and social work, especially in charitable works undertaken by the charitable and humanitarian sector. Chief Human Resources Officer at Vodafone Qatar, Khames Mohammed Al Naimi, highlighted the importance of social responsibility for institutions and companies, emphasizing the role that Vodafone Qatar plays as a strategic partner in promoting social initiatives.

The Qatar Social Responsibility Week features a series of events, workshops, and seminars that aim to enhance social awareness of the importance of social responsibility, encourage individuals and institutions to adopt effective social initiatives, and support sustainable development. The initiative also seeks to encourage institutions to invest their resources in community service in order to enhance their reputation, build public confidence, and foster innovation in the field of social work. The event aims to achieve the sustainable development goals in Qatar and align with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

HE the Minister of Social Development and Family underlined the importance of continuous cooperation between all parties involved to achieve the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030. The event honored governmental and private entities, as well as influential figures in the field of social work and the promotion of the culture of social responsibility. The Qatar Social Responsibility Week is a platform for companies, entrepreneurs, and emerging projects to contribute to the growth and development of Qatar, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation to face challenges and create a positive change for future generations.

HE the Minister of Social Development and Family emphasized that social responsibility is not solely the responsibility of the private sector but a duty for every individual in society, regardless of nationality. The event serves as an opportunity to create a real impact on various societal aspects, such as education, health, sustainability, and social solidarity. By fostering a spirit of innovation and cooperation, Qatar can ensure the continuous flow of benefits from the societal renaissance to future generations. The Qatar Social Responsibility Week is an important initiative that aims to drive positive change and sustainable development in the country.
