Salik, Dubai’s toll operator, recently denied rumors circulating on social media about the implementation of dynamic pricing for toll gates in the emirate. The CEO of Salik, Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, clarified in a statement that the information being shared on social media is inaccurate. He urged customers and shareholders to only rely on official sources such as the DFM and Salik website for any announcements or updates. The company is committed to transparency and will share any significant information with the market promptly.

There was a viral post circulating on social media that listed time slots and corresponding toll fees, suggesting changes to current rates. However, Salik confirmed that these details were false. The post claimed toll fees would be 0 AED from 3am to 5am and 8 AED from 3pm to 7pm. The company emphasized the importance of referring to official channels for accurate information and assured customers and shareholders that any changes will be communicated through the right channels.

The CEO also confirmed that the 10th Salik gate in Dubai, situated in Al Safa South, will soon be operational. Another new toll gate, the 9th in the network, is located on Business Bay Crossing along Al Khail Road. Both gates are expected to start operating by the end of November, with an official announcement to be made to the public by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and Salik PJSC. Last year, Salik witnessed 593 million journeys through its toll gates, generating significant revenue. In the first half of this year, 238.5 million trips were recorded, resulting in Dh1.1 billion in revenue, a 5.6% increase from the same period last year.

In conclusion, Salik’s toll operator has dismissed rumors about dynamic pricing for toll gates in Dubai, emphasizing the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information. The company is committed to transparency and will promptly share any significant updates with the market. The launch of two new toll gates in Dubai is expected to happen by the end of November, with an official announcement to be made prior to operations beginning. Salik continues to play a significant role in managing traffic flow and generating revenue from toll collection in the emirate. Customers are advised to stay informed through official channels for any future developments related to Salik’s toll operations.
