Anis Akbar, a 15-year-old Dubai racing driver, has always been fascinated by wheels and speed. Despite his young age, he has achieved podium finishes in competitions against experienced drivers in Dubai and Singapore. Anis started racing just two years ago as a self-taught driver and has already impressed with his performances at the Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship and the Sodi World Series in Singapore. He dreams of racing in the F4 category and ultimately reaching Formula 1.

Born to a Singaporean mother and a Pakistani father, Anis grew up in Dubai where his family has been residing for almost 50 years. He credits his passion for motorsport to his friends in school, especially his Emirati friends who introduced him to karting. With unwavering support from his parents, Anis has been able to pursue his racing dreams. From late-night races to early morning work commitments, his parents have made numerous sacrifices to help him succeed.

Despite his success, Anis has faced challenges on the track, dealing with hostile drivers and a mix of supportive and unsupportive individuals. He has learned to ignore negativity and focus on his objectives, drawing inspiration from the positive influences in his racing journey. Anis is determined to realize his dream of racing in Formula 1, aiming to gain experience in F4 championships and eventually transition into a role as a team principal or race engineer after retiring from racing.

Anis’ journey as a young racing driver has been shaped by his passion for speed, the support of his family, and the lessons learned from both positive and negative experiences on the track. Despite his age, he has shown maturity and determination in pursuit of his ultimate goal of racing in Formula 1. With the right training, team, and mindset, Anis believes he can make his dream a reality and leave a lasting impact on the world of motorsport. Through hard work and perseverance, he is on track to achieving his ambitions and making a mark in the competitive world of racing.
