The Sultanate of Oman emphasizes a foreign policy based on dialogue and tolerance to address global issues. Sultanate’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, delivered a speech at the UN General Assembly in New York advocating for peace and cooperation among nations. Oman supports UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in his efforts to establish international law for justice and peace worldwide. The country also calls for an immediate ceasefire in regions like Gaza, Lebanon, and the Red Sea, and to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories for a two-state solution.

Oman believes in settling disputes through peaceful means and upholding international law and the UN Charter for stability and prosperity. The country advocates for Palestine to be granted full membership in the UN to alleviate suffering and ensure security and dignity for all peoples. Oman is dedicated to social protection programs for various segments of society, including women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The country aims for sustainable development through education, health, and social care initiatives.

The Sultanate of Oman prioritizes youth empowerment for sustainable development and innovation. The country promotes respect and peaceful coexistence among peoples while combating discrimination, racism, and violence. Oman is focused on addressing climate change challenges by reducing emissions and investing in renewable energy projects to achieve Zero Carbon Neutrality by 2050. These efforts align with Oman Vision 2040 to achieve economic and social development goals.

Oman’s second voluntary national report reflects commitment to global development goals and highlights progress in various fields. The country welcomes the adoption of the Future Summit Charter as a roadmap for enhancing international cooperation and addressing global challenges. Oman urges all member states to implement the charter for a better, safer, and more prosperous future through cooperation and knowledge exchange. The country aims to work together to achieve the vision and objectives outlined in the charter for the benefit of future generations.
