Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have recently signed a significant agreement worth USD 7 million to support Palestine Refugees in Syria. The aim of this partnership is to improve the living conditions of Palestinian Refugees in Syria by providing essential services such as education, healthcare, and cash assistance. The agreement was signed during the United Nations General Assembly by Sultan bin Ahmed Al Aseeri, Acting Director General of QFFD, and Greta Gunnarsdottir, Director of UNRWA’s Representative Office in New York, in the presence of HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater. The signing reaffirmed the strong partnership between the State of Qatar and the Agency. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini expressed his gratitude to QFFD for its continuous support and emphasized the crucial role of Arab partners in addressing humanitarian crises and supporting Palestinian Refugees.
