Qatari Ambassador emphasizes Doha’s actions to ease the suffering of Palestinians

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the UK, H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, highlighted the efforts made by Qatar to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and end the violence in the region. Since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, Qatar has been actively working to establish a crisis room and communicate with relevant regional and international parties. These efforts have led to the successful release of dozens of hostages and prisoners. The roundtable organized by the Qatar Embassy in the UK focused on Qatar’s mediation and conflict resolution roles, especially in light of the challenges posed by conflicts in the Middle East.

The joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip have faced numerous challenges, including reaching a permanent ceasefire deal, protecting civilians, increasing humanitarian aid to Palestinians, and releasing prisoners and detainees to prevent regional escalation.
