In a recent ministerial meeting on the Palestinian issue and peace efforts, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced the launch of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution. This initiative, supported by Arab, Islamic, and European nations, aims to establish a reliable path towards a just and comprehensive peace. Prince Faisal emphasized the devastating impact of the war in Gaza, the violations by Israeli occupation forces, and the threats to Al-Aqsa Mosque. He condemned the indiscriminate killing of civilians, destruction, forced displacement, and other atrocities committed during the conflict.

In the broader regional context, Prince Faisal expressed concern about the growing risk of a regional war. He called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and urged accountability for those hindering the peace process. The Foreign Minister criticized the international community for its failure to stop the violence and selective application of international law. He stressed the importance of recognizing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state as an inherent right and urged more nations to join the consensus of 149 countries that already do so.

The establishment of a Palestinian state is seen as the best way to break the cycle of conflict and create a new reality of security and coexistence for the entire region, including Israel. Prince Faisal’s announcement of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution reflects a commitment to ending the ongoing conflict and promoting peace in the Middle East. The initiative seeks to bring together nations from different regions to work towards a resolution that ensures justice, security, and stability for all parties involved.

The meeting took place during the High-Level Week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, highlighting the international community’s focus on addressing the Palestinian issue and advancing peace efforts in the region. Prince Faisal’s call for unity and cooperation underscores the need for a collective approach to resolving longstanding conflicts and promoting peaceful coexistence. The launch of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution marks a significant step towards achieving a lasting peace agreement that addresses the needs and aspirations of both the Palestinian and Israeli people.

The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the urgent need to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the violations in the West Bank, and the threats to religious sites. He called for a comprehensive approach to ending the violence and ensuring accountability for those responsible for obstructing the peace process. Prince Faisal’s condemnation of incitement, dehumanization, and torture reflects a commitment to upholding human rights and principles of justice in all efforts to resolve the conflict. The call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state demonstrates a commitment to creating a more secure and stable future for the entire region.

In conclusion, the launch of the International Coalition to Implement the Two-State Solution represents a hopeful sign of progress towards a just and comprehensive peace agreement in the Middle East. Prince Faisal’s call for unity, cooperation, and accountability underscores the importance of working together to address the root causes of the conflict and promote a future of security and coexistence for all parties involved. As the international community continues to focus on the Palestinian issue and peace efforts, initiatives like this offer a path forward towards a lasting resolution that respects the rights and dignity of all those affected by the conflict.
