Sayyid Fahd meets with Egypt’s Head of Supreme Council for Media Regulation

The Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, recently met with Karam Gabr, the Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the meeting, Gabr conveyed greetings from the Egyptian leadership and expressed best wishes for progress and prosperity for the Omani people. HH Sayyid Fahd emphasized the government’s support for the Omani media and its constructive role in sustainable development. He also praised Omani media persons for their integrity and efforts in news coverage.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance media cooperation, including exchanging expertise and visits of media professionals. They also addressed current regional issues and efforts to promote security and stability in the region. Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, and Khalid Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Oman, were also present at the meeting. The discussions underscored the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the field of media and the mutual respect and appreciation they share.
