The highly anticipated event season in the region is leading to increased demand across various industries such as mobility, hospitality, and retail. Key players are experiencing a surge in bookings, sales, and consumer interest, indicating a strong recovery in the travel, tourism, and event sectors. Soham Shah, CEO of Selfdrive Mobility, noted a significant increase in vehicle reservations driven by events like GITEX Global, Dubai Airshow, and the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The company is witnessing a rise in both short-term rentals and long-term subscriptions from a diverse customer base.

Luxury sedans and SUVs are the most in-demand vehicles, with key areas like Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah, and Palm Jumeirah experiencing high demand due to their proximity to event venues. Selfdrive Mobility has seen a 25% increase in reservations compared to the same period last year, with further growth expected in the upcoming quarter. Vinayak Mahtani, CEO of bnbme holiday homes, also reported a rise in demand and pricing for properties in Dubai Marina, JVC, and Palm Jumeirah. Pre-Covid booking behavior is returning, with European customers booking well in advance for the upcoming holiday seasons.

Ashok Pathirage, Chairman of Softlogic, announced the launch of the Sri Lankan Boho brand – COCO by Cotton Collection in the UAE during the busy event season. The brand aims to engage with the audience, gather feedback, and build customer loyalty through personal interaction. The festive energy of the season aligns well with COCO’s free-spirited bohemian essence, offering a relaxed and sophisticated style to consumers. The Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai anticipates an increase in booking activity as the cooler season approaches, with a focus on trade events, conferences, and leisure travelers. The hotel expects a rise in demand from key inbound markets such as India, China, the USA, and Germany, with specific preferences influencing their choice of accommodation.

Overall, the event season is driving growth and demand across various sectors in the region, with businesses experiencing a surge in bookings, sales, and consumer interest. The recovery of the travel, tourism, and event industries is evident through the increased activity and anticipation for upcoming events. Key players in mobility, hospitality, and retail are gearing up for a busy season, with strategies in place to cater to the diverse needs of their customers. As the region prepares for a strong event season, businesses are poised to capitalize on the heightened demand and drive growth in their respective industries. The upcoming months are expected to see further increases in bookings, sales, and consumer interest as the event season progresses.
