Saudi football player who fell from balcony in Dubai receiving treatment in Riyadh

Saudi football player Fahad Al Muwallad, who was involved in a serious accident and hospitalized in Dubai, is now receiving treatment in Riyadh. Al Shabab Club vice-president Mohammed Al Nasser shared a picture of Al Muwallad in a hospital bed and the Saudi Minister of Sports Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud visited him to check on his health. A medical evacuation flight arranged by the Saudi Ministry of Defence transported Al Muwallad to King Abdulaziz Medical City for further care.

Al Muwallad had fallen from the balcony of his Dubai home while on vacation, leading to his hospitalization. The Dubai Police are investigating the incident and will share the results once concluded. The support and attention from Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, the Saudi Football Federation, and the Saudi national team’s medical and administrative team have been crucial in providing comprehensive support for Al Muwallad’s recovery.

The chairman of Al Shabab Club’s board of directors expressed gratitude towards those involved in facilitating Al Muwallad’s medical evacuation, including Dubai authorities and the air medical evacuation crew from the Ministry of Defense Health Services. Al Muwallad has had a successful football career, playing for Al Ittihad and briefly in Europe with Levante, before joining Al Shabab in 2022. He has also represented Saudi Arabia in international matches and World Cup qualifiers.

The support and collaboration of various entities, including the Saudi Football Federation, Dubai authorities, and the medical evacuation team, have been instrumental in ensuring that Al Muwallad receives the necessary medical care and support for his recovery.
