Qatar’s delegation, led by Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, participated in the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee Preparatory Meeting on Developments in Gaza. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recent developments in the Gaza Strip and the region, as well as the ongoing efforts to address the Israeli aggression against the people of Gaza. The ministers also addressed the dangerous escalation in the West Bank and Lebanon.

As part of the discussions, the ministers talked about the preparations for a ministerial meeting on the situation in Gaza and the implementation of the two-state solution. This approach is seen as a way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
