The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has issued a recall notice for certain ANKER portable and magnetic batteries due to the risk of fire caused by rising temperatures. The affected power bank models include A1642, A1647, and A1652. Consumers have been advised to stop using these devices immediately and store them in a safe place. The ministry has also urged individuals to contact the company for a refund of the purchase amount. ANKER, a Chinese electronic accessories company, has withdrawn three models of external batteries compatible with iPhone devices from the market due to a manufacturing defect that can result in fires due to overheating.

The defective devices are compatible with MagSafe technology for iPhones and include models A1642, A1652, and A1647. The company has identified the malfunction of lithium-ion batteries in these portable chargers as the cause of the defect, leading to the melting of plastic parts, smoke emission, and fires while connected to devices during charging. Users of these electronic accessories are strongly advised to cease usage and store them securely to prevent accidents that could cause damage to iPhone devices or result in fire outbreaks.

ANKER has taken the necessary steps to address the issue by recalling the affected products and refunding customers for the purchase amount. The company’s decision to withdraw the power bank models from the market demonstrates their commitment to ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. It is important for consumers to follow the ministry’s guidelines and refrain from using the recalled batteries to avoid any potential risks or hazards that may arise from the defect.

The recall serves as a reminder of the importance of product safety and quality control in the manufacturing process. Companies like ANKER must adhere to strict regulations and standards to prevent defects that could pose a threat to consumer safety. By promptly addressing the issue and offering refunds to affected customers, ANKER has shown responsibility and accountability in handling the situation. Consumers can trust that the company is dedicated to providing safe and reliable products.

In light of this recall, it is crucial for consumers to stay informed about product recalls and take appropriate action in response to any safety concerns. Regularly checking for updates on recalls and following guidelines from government authorities can help protect individuals from potential hazards associated with defective products. It is also important for consumers to report any issues or incidents related to product safety to the relevant authorities to prevent further harm to individuals or property.

Overall, the recall of ANKER power bank models serves as a precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety and prevent any potential risks associated with the manufacturing defect. By following the ministry’s guidelines and returning the affected devices for a refund, consumers can protect themselves from potential fire hazards and damage to their electronic devices. ANKER’s swift response to the issue demonstrates their commitment to prioritizing customer safety and satisfaction, highlighting the importance of maintaining high standards of product quality and safety in the electronic accessories industry.
