The weather forecast for today predicts clear skies and fair weather, with some areas experiencing partly cloudy conditions at times, according to the Met department. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 43 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 36 degrees Celsius in Dubai. Humidity is expected to increase by evening until Friday morning, with a possibility of fog formation as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecast. Winds will be light to moderate throughout the day, occasionally becoming brisk. Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are anticipated to be light.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) advises residents to remain cautious due to the hot and humid weather conditions. It is essential to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak sun hours, and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses. With temperatures soaring, it is crucial to seek shade, wear loose and light-colored clothing, and apply sunscreen when stepping outside. Keeping indoor areas well-ventilated and using air conditioning when necessary can help combat the heat and humidity.

Travelers and tourists are encouraged to stay updated on weather forecasts and advisories to plan their activities accordingly. It is advisable to schedule outdoor activities in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid extreme heat. When spending time outdoors, take breaks in shaded areas, drink plenty of fluids, and watch for signs of heat exhaustion such as weakness, dizziness, and profuse sweating. Knowing the weather conditions and taking preventive measures can contribute to a safe and enjoyable experience during your stay.

In light of the expected weather conditions, residents are reminded to take precautions while driving and ensure their vehicles are well-maintained. High temperatures can affect vehicle performance, so it is essential to check tire pressure, engine coolant levels, and brake systems regularly. Avoid leaving children or pets unattended in parked vehicles, as the interior temperature can quickly rise to dangerous levels. Plan your travel routes, consider traffic conditions, and drive safely to reach your destination without any issues.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention recommends staying indoors during the hottest part of the day to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses. Heat stroke and dehydration are common concerns during high-temperature periods, so it is crucial to stay cool and hydrated. Drink plenty of water, avoid excessive physical exertion, and wear appropriate clothing to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful rays. If you experience symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, seek medical attention immediately and take steps to cool down while waiting for help.

As the weather remains hot and humid, it is essential to prioritize your health and well-being by following safety guidelines and staying informed about weather updates. Whether you are a resident or a visitor, being prepared for extreme weather conditions can help you enjoy your time in the UAE while staying safe. By taking proactive measures, staying hydrated, and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, you can make the most of your outdoor activities and adventures. Stay mindful of the weather forecast, stay cool, and take care of yourself and those around you during this period of hot weather.
