The meeting chaired by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in Salalah focused on various topics including the improved financial performance in Oman, with a decline in public debt contributing to confidence in the local economy. The Council of Ministers emphasized the importance of employment and approved additional funds to enhance jobseekers employment programs, particularly in the private sector. In line with the Royal attention to social and educational aspects, funds were allocated to support the Family Income Support Benefit Programme and to accelerate the construction of new schools to accommodate the increasing number of students in certain governorates.

Furthermore, the Council of Ministers endorsed the National Programme of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies to enhance the Sultanate’s ranking in Government AI Readiness Index. The program aims to increase the productivity of economic and developmental sectors and foster the growth of specialized technology companies. His Majesty the Sultan also commended the efforts to attract tourists to Dhofar Governorate during the Khareef Dhofar season, emphasizing the need to study tourist aspirations and improve services to sustain visitor numbers in upcoming seasons.

In a bid to enhance public services, His Majesty the Sultan called for the development of mechanisms to measure beneficiary satisfaction and streamline procedures to improve service quality. The establishment of electronic platforms in government institutions to receive complaints and proposals from beneficiaries was also encouraged. The Council of Ministers emphasized the importance of fortifying society and promoting tolerant principles to counter extremism and partisan influences, while praising the efforts of military and security personnel in safeguarding national security.

Regarding regional and international relations, His Majesty the Sultan discussed bilateral relations with various Arab and friendly countries, highlighting Oman’s commitment to cooperation for mutual benefit. The meeting concluded with His Majesty giving Royal directives for state institutions to continue improving their missions and upgrading performance levels to serve the nation and its people effectively. The focus on economic development, employment generation, social welfare, education, and tourism initiatives reflects the Sultanate’s commitment to progress and prosperity under the leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
