RAO holds joint military exercise

The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) recently conducted a joint practical demonstration with the Musandam Security Force and the Royal Special Force of Bahrain. This exercise, codenamed “Al Nimr Al Arabi” or “Arabian Tiger 4”, was held under the auspices of Maj.Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the RAO. The event was attended by Brigadier General Yasser Mohammed Al Ma’awdah, Commander of the Special Operations Battalion 24 of the Royal Bahraini Special Force. The practical demonstration took place at the Combat Training Unit in built-up and mountainous areas in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, where the participating forces practiced their preset plans and achieved their training objectives.

The joint exercise was supported by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and showcased the high level of performance, morale, and combat ability of the participating forces. The soldiers demonstrated harmony in conducting joint drills and worked together seamlessly to achieve their training goals. The exercise was part of a series of annual training plans and programmes carried out by the RAO, in cooperation with armies of Arab and foreign countries, to maintain the combat efficiency of RAO members. These joint exercises help to enhance the skills and capabilities of soldiers, improve coordination between different units, and strengthen military cooperation between nations.

The practical demonstration was an opportunity for the Musandam Security Force and the Royal Special Force of Bahrain to showcase their skills and capabilities in a challenging terrain. The built-up and mountainous areas in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate provided a realistic setting for the forces to practice their strategies and tactics. The participating forces were able to test their coordination, communication, and combat readiness in a simulated combat environment, which helps to prepare them for real-life scenarios.

The joint exercise highlighted the strong partnership and cooperation between the Royal Army of Oman, the Musandam Security Force, and the Royal Special Force of Bahrain. Through joint training and exercises, the forces were able to strengthen their relationships, build trust, and enhance their ability to work together effectively. These joint drills also help to promote interoperability between different military units, improve coordination and communication, and enhance the overall combat capabilities of the participating forces.

The practical demonstration, codenamed “Al Nimr Al Arabi” or “Arabian Tiger 4”, emphasized the commitment of the RAO to maintain a high level of combat efficiency and readiness among its members. By participating in joint exercises with other Arab and foreign countries, the RAO can learn from different military forces, exchange best practices, and enhance their skills and capabilities.
