The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, recently visited the Advanced Technology for Construction and Services Expo (ConteQ Expo 2024) held at the Qatar National Convention Center. The expo, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Ministry of Labour, and the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, showcases the latest technology and artificial intelligence techniques in the construction industry.

Accompanied by the Minister of Municipality and the President of Ashghal, HE Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the services provided by major companies and leaders in the construction and retail industry in Qatar. The focus was on the application of artificial intelligence in infrastructure and modern technology to enhance the quality of implementation, reduce costs and waste, and increase energy efficiency, security, and safety in construction projects. These developments are in line with the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030) and Qatar National Vision 2030.

The expo covers an area of 25,000 square meters and has attracted over 250 entities, including international, emerging, medium, and small companies. It also features 24 international pavilions, highlighting the diverse range of participants and the global scope of the event. This emphasis on international collaboration and innovation underscores Qatar’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology in the construction and services sector.

The use of artificial intelligence in construction and services is seen as a key factor in enhancing project efficiency and sustainability. By incorporating the latest technologies and techniques, companies can streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall project outcomes. This focus on innovation aligns with Qatar’s strategic development goals and vision for the future, emphasizing the role of technology in driving economic growth and social progress.

As Qatar continues to develop its infrastructure and build for the future, events like ConteQ Expo provide a platform for industry leaders to showcase their expertise and exchange ideas on the latest trends and innovations. By bringing together a diverse range of local and international participants, the expo creates opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, driving advancements in the construction and services sector.

Overall, the Advanced Technology for Construction and Services Expo (ConteQ Expo 2024) serves as a testament to Qatar’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation in the construction industry. Through the adoption of artificial intelligence and modern technology, the country aims to enhance project efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability. As Qatar looks towards a future driven by innovation and technology, events like ConteQ Expo play a key role in showcasing the latest developments and facilitating collaboration in the industry.
