Doha Festival City and Harper’s Bazaar recently unveiled Emerging Voices, a fashion and creativity exhibition showcasing new talents in collaboration with VCUarts Qatar. The event aims to support and promote emerging designers in Qatar and highlight the evolving fashion scene. The exhibition also marks Doha Festival City’s transition into a hub for fashion trends and expressive styles. Several talented creatives from Scale7 will also participate in the event program next month.

During the event, Noreen Nasralla, Executive Director of Marketing at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, reiterated Doha Festival City’s commitment to nurturing young designers and shaping Qatar’s creative future. She emphasized the importance of engaging with the younger generation and adapting to market trends such as Qatar’s economic growth and changing consumer behavior. The strategic redirection of Doha Festival City aims to align with Qatar Vision 2030 and support the country’s development goals.

The brand repositioning of Doha Festival City is designed to cater to a diverse range of shoppers’ needs and preferences. Noreen highlighted the importance of listening to consumers, responding to their needs, and providing a personalized shopping experience. The featured VCUarts students showcased their work in fashion and editorial photography, demonstrating the creative potential that is driving Qatar’s fashion scene forward.

Bianca Brigitte Bonomi, Director of Harper’s Bazaar Qatar, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Doha Festival City and the opportunity to celebrate emerging fashion talent in Qatar. Christopher Fink, Chair of Fashion Design & Merchandising at VCUArts Qatar, highlighted the success of the event in connecting students with industry leaders and providing a platform for young designers to showcase their work. The partnership with Harper’s Bazaar and Doha Festival City aims to support and nurture talented voices in the fashion industry.

During the Harper’s Bazaar Leading Voices segment, Nour Arida, a prominent figure in women empowerment, shared insights on her career journey and the importance of supporting emerging talent. She praised the Qatari designers featured at Emerging Voices for their international-level designs and encouraged them to dream big and persevere. Doha Festival City will continue its support for local and regional fashion and beauty by hosting more events and collaborations that celebrate diversity and creativity within the fashion industry. The pop-up collaboration at Harvey Nichols on October 22 will spotlight three talents from Scale7, further showcasing the growing talent in Qatar’s fashion scene.
