The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Doha, Qatar recently organized a remote workshop focused on school programs and activities in government schools. The workshop, held via the TEAMS application, targeted school principals, academic deputies, administrators, and school activity supervisors across various educational levels. The goal of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the mechanisms for implementing student programs and activities in public schools and to provide support in creating a suitable educational environment.

The workshop was led by key figures in the Programs and Activities Department, including Head Aisha Thamer Al Kaabi, Activities Specialist Reem Rashid Al Naimi, and Programs and Activities Specialist Khaled Abdulhakim Al Saadi. During the workshop, attendees learned about the ministry’s key tasks in organizing and planning programs and activities, achieving balance between educational activities, and the regulations and rules that must be followed. They also discussed how to use online services via the ministry’s website and access the electronic system.

Participants in the workshop received explanations on selecting the required number of activities for the semester, the specialist’s tasks, additional requests, value-based activities, and the institutions and state entities that contribute to the programs. They also learned about the department’s models and policies, which represent a significant advancement in managing tasks within the school environment. Government school programs and activities play a crucial role in providing teachers, supervisors, and staff with opportunities to discover students’ talents and develop their skills in various areas.

These programs are designed to address behavioral and psychological issues, strengthen students’ personalities, and foster cooperation among students. By organizing workshops like this, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education demonstrates its commitment to providing activities that not only improve students’ academic performance but also instill good values in them. This initiative shows the ministry’s dedication to enhancing the quality of school life and creating a positive and enriching educational environment for students across Qatar.
