Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan recently praised India’s cricket captain Rohit Sharma, comparing him to Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as the Indian team prepares for a two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting on September 19. Sarfaraz made his Test debut earlier this year against England, scoring 200 runs in three matches. He gained attention with a 62-run knock in his debut match, leading to his selection in the upcoming Tests against Bangladesh in the Indian squad.

The series between India and Bangladesh will kick off on September 19 in Chennai, with the second Test starting on September 27 in Kanpur. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will aim to secure a series win in his first Test assignment. Sarfaraz expressed his admiration for Rohit Sharma, stating that he treats everyone like an elder brother and boosts confidence with his positive attitude. He likened Rohit to Aamir Khan’s character in the movie “Lagaan,” saying that Rohit feels like part of the family.

Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the Test side, with newcomers Akash Deep and Yash Dayal joining the squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has returned to Test cricket following an accident in December 2022. India will be looking to secure another home Test series win, while Bangladesh enters the series on the back of a historic win against Pakistan. The first Test squad for India includes players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah.

In conclusion, as India gears up for the Test series against Bangladesh, Sarfaraz Khan’s praise for Rohit Sharma sheds light on the camaraderie within the team. With the upcoming matches set to test India’s abilities, the addition of new players like Akash Deep and Yash Dayal brings a fresh dynamic to the squad. Fans will be eagerly anticipating the performances of their favorite players as India aims for another series victory at home. The comparison to Aamir Khan showcases the impact Rohit Sharma has on his teammates, building a strong team spirit that will be crucial for success in the upcoming Test matches.
