The UAE’s ongoing amnesty program has led to a surge of overstaying expats seeking assistance at typing centers across the country. With the increased demand, facilities have had to adjust their operations by hiring additional staff and implementing measures to ensure a smooth and efficient process. This has resulted in employees working tirelessly to manage the influx of amnesty seekers, with some centers bringing in part-time staff from other facilities to support the effort and prevent delays in the process.

One such center, Quality Government Service Centre located in DIP 1, has significantly expanded its workforce from eight to 13 employees to accommodate the surge in amnesty seekers. The center processes more than 200 applications daily and operates on Sundays to cater to as many people as possible. Similarly, the Karama Medical Fitness Centre in Karama has seen a sharp increase in applications, requiring them to hire extra staff to handle the workload. With more than 300 applications processed daily, employees are working longer hours and handling a higher volume of applications than before.

The ongoing effort to manage the high volumes of applicants showcases the importance of the amnesty program in allowing individuals overstaying their visas to regularize their status without facing penalties. Despite the challenges faced by typing centers and immigration offices due to the heavy rush, the program has prompted thousands of overstaying expats to seek assistance and take advantage of the opportunity to rectify their status. The process, however, may be hindered for some individuals who do not have their fingerprints registered in the system, leading to delays in their application process.

It is crucial for typing centers and immigration offices to maintain efficiency and manage the increased workload effectively during this period of high demand. The dedication shown by employees in adjusting their operations, hiring additional staff, and working extended hours is essential in ensuring that the amnesty program proceeds smoothly and without delays. With the support of part-time employees and the commitment to accommodate as many applicants as possible, the typing centers are playing a crucial role in assisting overstaying expats in regularizing their status.

The positive impact of the amnesty program is evident as more individuals come forward to seek assistance and take advantage of the opportunity to rectify their visa overstays without facing any penalties. The increased demand for services at typing centers and immigration offices highlights the importance of providing a streamlined process and effective support to help applicants navigate the requirements and paperwork involved in the amnesty program. By continuing to adjust their operations and work diligently to process applications in a timely manner, typing centers are playing a key role in facilitating the regularization of status for overstaying expats in the UAE.
