The Tenth event of ICRF Thirst Quenchers 2024 was recently held on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at a worksite located in Awali. This event marked a continuation of the Indian Community Relief Fund’s annual summer awareness program, which aligns with the Ministry of Labour’s initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the hot months of July and August. The main objective of this program is to raise awareness about maintaining a healthy and safe environment during the summer months. In order to help alleviate the effects of the intense summer heat, the ICRF distributed bottled water, Laban, and fruits to workers at their worksites, with a focus on those most impacted by the high temperatures.

During this particular event, approximately 150 workers were provided with water bottles, juice, oranges, apples, and bananas, along with flyers containing emergency contact numbers. Representatives from LMRA and IOM also participated in the program and assisted with the distribution of items. The support from the Bohra community and other dedicated volunteers has been instrumental in the success of this initiative, as it has been in previous years. Furthermore, the Science of Spirituality team also joined in to support this week’s program, further enhancing the outreach efforts of the ICRF Thirst-Quenchers team.

As the summer awareness program progresses, the team is gearing up for their final distribution event of the year, which will take place next Saturday. The continued support and collaboration from various community groups, volunteers, and organizations have been key in ensuring the success of this initiative. By providing essential items such as water, juice, and fruits to workers in need, the ICRF Thirst Quenchers 2024 team is making a positive impact on the lives of those working in challenging conditions during the hot summer months. Through these efforts, the team is successfully promoting a culture of safety and well-being in workplaces, in line with the Ministry of Labour’s objectives.

Overall, the ICRF Thirst-Quenchers initiative is not only providing essential supplies to workers in need but also raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy working environment during the summer. By collaborating with various community groups and organizations, the team is able to reach a larger audience and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those most affected by the intense heat. With the support of volunteers and sponsors, the team continues to expand its reach and make a difference in the lives of workers in Bahrain. The success of this initiative highlights the power of community collaboration and the positive impact it can have on promoting worker safety and well-being.
