The Youth Pioneer Society recently wrapped up the second phase of the seventh edition of the Young Parliamentarian Program 2024. The program, in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), featured a simulation workshop conducted by the “Crisp” Foundation in Berlin. This workshop aimed to provide participants with valuable experience in negotiation skills, public policy formulation, and effective presentation and communication. Additionally, the workshop focused on enhancing collaboration opportunities among all participants.

Jawaher AlSenan, the program’s general coordinator, highlighted the practical nature of the second phase. During this phase, participants had the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the training phase. Discussions covered a range of topics such as media, public opinion, and roundtable dialogues on current issues. The program aimed to equip young parliamentarians with the necessary tools and expertise to become effective leaders in their communities.

Following the conclusion of the second phase, participants will move on to an experience exchange phase, which includes a visit to the European Parliament for selected outstanding participants. This phase will be followed by the practical phase, which will feature the eighth Youth Parliamentary Forum and the closing ceremony. The program aims to provide young parliamentarians with hands-on experience and opportunities for growth and development.

The seventh edition of the Young Parliamentarian Program is held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh AlSaleh, Chairman of the Shura Council. It is strategically partnered with the British Embassy in Bahrain, the European Union, and the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The program aims to empower and inspire young leaders to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the complex world of politics and public policy.

The program’s focus on practical experience and hands-on training sets it apart from traditional educational programs. By providing participants with the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting, the program ensures that young parliamentarians are well-prepared for the challenges they may face in their future careers. The emphasis on collaboration and communication skills further enhances the participants’ ability to work effectively in team settings and address complex issues.

Overall, the Young Parliamentarian Program 2024 has successfully completed its second phase, preparing participants for the next stages of their journey towards becoming effective leaders in their communities. With a strong emphasis on practical experience, collaboration, and communication skills, the program equips young parliamentarians with the tools they need to make a positive impact in the world of politics and public policy. The program’s strategic partnerships and patronage highlight the importance and significance of this initiative in shaping the future of leadership in Bahrain and beyond.
