The US Open quarterfinal is set as world number one Jannik Sinner and former champion Daniil Medvedev will go head to head in the upcoming match. Sinner secured his spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Tommy Paul, while Medvedev outclassed Nuno Borges to reach the quarterfinals for the fifth time in six years. Women’s world number one Iga Swiatek also progressed to the next round with a straight-sets victory over Liudmila Samsonova. With Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz out of the competition, both men are aiming to capitalize on this opportunity to secure the title.

Sinner and Medvedev will be facing each other for the fourth time this year, with each player having a victory under their belt. Medvedev is the only former champion left in the tournament after the surprising exits of Djokovic and Alcaraz, making him a strong contender for the title. On the other hand, Sinner is determined to put up a good fight against Medvedev and is prepared for a tough match both mentally and physically. The upcoming showdown between these two players promises to be a thrilling encounter with high-intensity rallies and strategic gameplay.

British player Jack Draper also made history by reaching the quarterfinals, becoming the first British man to do so since Andy Murray in 2016. Draper credited Murray’s influence on his career and expressed his admiration for the retired tennis legend. Draper’s impressive performance in the tournament has been marked by his strong service game and resilience under pressure. Australian player Alex de Minaur also secured his spot in the quarterfinals with a victory over Jordan Thompson, setting up an exciting clash with Draper in the next round.

Meanwhile, Polish sensation Iga Swiatek continued her dominant run in the tournament by securing a comfortable win over Liudmila Samsonova. Swiatek, a six-time Grand Slam champion, is determined to add another title to her collection and is focused on her upcoming match against American sixth seed Jessica Pegula. Swiatek’s consistency and powerful game have been key to her success in the tournament, and she is well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. The quarterfinal matchups promise to deliver intense battles and high-quality tennis as the players compete for a spot in the semifinals.

Another standout performer in the tournament is Brazilian player Beatriz Haddad Maia, who made history by becoming the first Brazilian woman to reach the quarterfinals since Maria Bueno in 1968. Haddad Maia’s victory over former world number one Caroline Wozniacki was a significant milestone in her career, and she is eager to continue her impressive run in the tournament. Haddad Maia will face Karolina Muchova in the quarterfinals, who has been in top form and has yet to drop a set in the tournament. The upcoming matches in the quarterfinals are set to be highly competitive and entertaining, showcasing the talents of the top players in the tournament.
