Qatar Foundation recently hosted over 350 new teachers and administrators at its annual induction day, organized by the Education Development Institute. The event aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of QF’s educational system and facilitate networking opportunities for both new and current staff. The objective was to promote collaboration, strengthen connections, and enhance the effectiveness of new staff members in their roles within the organization. Joanna Moe, Assistant Director of Academic Development at EDI, highlighted QF’s vital role in supporting teachers and emphasized the resources available to them.

Moe explained that the event was designed to foster connections that lead to long-lasting professional relationships among educators. Workshops held throughout the year are intended to help new teachers fully understand QF’s organizational structure and align their efforts with the organization’s strategic goals. The Teaching and Learning Forum, a prominent event in QF’s educational community, focuses on continuous improvement and professional development. Qatar Foundation schools offer a diverse range of experiences for educators, and the induction day exemplifies QF’s dedication to providing comprehensive support to new recruits.

Sarah Chediac, a new teacher at Tariq Bin Ziad School, expressed excitement about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in her journey with Qatar Foundation. She highlighted the exceptional support she has received from the school’s management and their commitment to her well-being and professional development. Chediac looks forward to contributing meaningfully to QF’s success and further developing her skills throughout the year. Abdulaziz Ali Yahya, a social worker who also recently joined Tariq Bin Ziad School, spoke about his pride in being part of an institution with a rich history and significant role in Qatar’s educational landscape.

Yahya expressed his eagerness to contribute to the ongoing development of Qatar Foundation and praised the organization for its excellence and commitment to nurturing ambition. He mentioned QF’s exceptional programs and its support for individuals aiming to strengthen society, emphasizing the significant impact of its students and graduates. Yahya looks forward to shaping the future and contributing to an organization that builds a strong and enduring foundation for Qatari society. He also praised QF for its ability to bring together a diverse range of cultures while preserving the Qatari identity and promoting the Arabic language, describing it as truly extraordinary.

In conclusion, Qatar Foundation’s annual induction day serves as a platform for new teachers and administrators to gain insight into the organization’s educational framework, resources, and strategic goals. The event promotes collaboration, facilitates networking opportunities, and supports the smooth integration of new staff members. Through workshops and training sessions, new educators are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed within Qatar Foundation schools. The dedication to supporting staff comprehensively, along with a commitment to professional growth and development, fosters a collaborative and impactful educational community within QF.
