Qatar’s Ali achieves personal best to qualify for 100m final, aims for first Paralympic medal.

Ali Arshad from Qatar achieved his personal best time of 15.20 seconds in the men’s 100m T34 racing event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Competing at the Stade de France in Paris, he finished third in his heat, securing direct qualification into the final. The final, which included athletes from countries like Thailand and Tunisia, will take place today.

The First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Mohamed bin Yousef Al Mana, was present to witness Ali’s impressive performance. Ali expressed his confidence and hopes for a medal, stating that winning one for Qatar at the Paralympics is a dream for him. Qatar has previously won three medals at the Games, with athletes like Abdulrahman Abdulqadir and Sara Masud making the nation proud.

Dr. Hassan Al Ansari, the head of the Qatar delegation, congratulated Ali on his personal best time and expressed confidence in his chances of winning a medal in the final. Ali will also be participating in the 800m event following the 100m showdown. Meanwhile, Sara Masud is gearing up for the women’s shot put event, aiming for her maiden Paralympic gold medal.

Ali’s performance has been lauded for being the result of hard work and dedication, and he will enter the final with confidence. With support from his country and officials, Ali is poised to make Qatar proud at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The nation is hopeful for success in both the men’s and women’s events, as their athletes aim to achieve their dreams on the international stage.
