Qatar Museums (QM) is excited to announce its September lineup, featuring an array of workshops, camps, and exhibitions designed to captivate and inspire audiences of all ages. The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) will host storytelling sessions, Family Day activities, and art workshops for both children and adults. Family Day: Geometrical Shapes will take place on September 14, 2024, from 3pm to 5pm at MIA Atrium, where families can learn more about geometric shapes. Additionally, a workshop titled An Artist’s Adventure for children ages 5 to 7 will be held on September 9-10, 2024, from 4pm to 5:30pm. The workshop will explore the world of art through storytelling and creative activities.
The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) will celebrate World Tourism Day with the program Hayya To Qatar from September 14 to 28, 2024. Participants can join an insightful journey about the major attractions in Qatar linked to the museum’s collection. In addition, a storytelling session titled I Can be Anything will take place on September 7, 2024, from 5pm to 6pm, offering a unique imagination-filled storytelling experience for children. The Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will host the 3-2-1 Summer Paralympic Festival from September 1 to 5, 2024, featuring various activities to celebrate Qatar’s participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art presents a series of workshops and storytelling sessions aimed at inspiring creativity and sharing cultural and moral values through art and storytelling. The Art Making in Manara workshop on September 11, 18, and 25, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm, allows teens to explore Modern Art while creating their own works. Storytelling for Family on September 14, 2024, from 4pm to 5:30pm offers an engaging session connecting art and storytelling for children ages 7-12 and their families. Additionally, an art lesson with Ismail Azzam is available every Sunday and Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm, providing participants with portraiture techniques using various mediums.
Fire Station: Artist in Residence will host a storytelling workshop titled Cementing Your Story on September 17 and 18, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm. Tasweer Photo Festival will host a workshop called Tasweer Dialogues: Mixed Media Photography with Nadia Dada on September 13, 2024, from 2pm to 5pm, where photography enthusiasts can explore photography and linocut techniques.
