Sidra introduces campaign to highlight dedication to women and children’s health

Sidra Medicine, a member of Qatar Foundation, recently launched an awareness campaign titled ‘Innovating Care. Transforming Lives’ to showcase its commitment to improving women and children’s health in Qatar and the region. The campaign highlights how the facility focuses on cutting-edge research and personalised treatment to advance healthcare. With the opening of outpatient clinics in 2016 and the main hospital in 2018, Sidra Medicine has been dedicated to providing specialized healthcare to women and children.

Dr. Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, CEO of Sidra Medicine, expressed the facility’s innovative approach to healthcare and clinical research, which has earned the trust of patients, their families, and the community. She stated, “We are not only mending hearts, but winning them too! And more importantly, we are changing lives.” The event also emphasized Sidra Medicine’s progress in personalized, research-based care and its role in supporting Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Acting Chief Medical Officer at Sidra Medicine, highlighted the facility’s journey of care, healing, and recovery since the opening of outpatient clinics and the main hospital. He stated, “We have become a leading hospital in the clinical services we provide, from nurturing and graduating the next generation of healthcare leaders to our research programs aimed at improving patients’ lives.” The campaign aims to enhance awareness of Sidra Medicine’s commitment to improving women and children’s health and showcase its progress in advancing research-based care.

Sidra Medicine focuses on research-driven care to implement personalized medicine and advanced diagnostics and therapies for future generations. The facility also leads in advancing personalized medicine through work with disease risks unique to people with Middle Eastern ancestry. Sidra Medicine offers over 60 pediatric specialties under one roof, with the Paediatric Emergency Department being the only tertiary pediatric emergency center in Qatar.

In terms of services for children and young people, Sidra Medicine provides a comprehensive range of specialties including allergy and immunology, child safety and advocacy, gastroenterology, endocrinology and diabetes, heart care, genetics and genetic medicine, infectious diseases, neonatology, nephrology and dialysis, neurology, pediatric surgery, rehabilitation medicine, rheumatology, and more. For women’s care, Sidra Medicine offers services such as gynecology, internal medicine, obstetrics, physiotherapy, weight management, mental health support, and reproductive medicine.

Since 2018, Sidra Medicine has earned the trust of patients from around the world and has cared for over 1,000 patients globally. The facility’s commitment to research-based and personalized medicine aligns with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to build a knowledge-based economy. With its cutting-edge research and personalized treatment approaches, Sidra Medicine continues to advance healthcare in Qatar and the region, ensuring the well-being of women and children.
