University of Bahrain to Upgrade Air Conditioning Systems at a Cost of 1.1 Million Dinars

The University of Bahrain has successfully secured a tender to replace its air conditioning systems on campus, with the lowest bid of 1,115,400 dinars being awarded to Bahrain Commercial Agencies. This is part of the broader context of the Bahrain Tender Board overseeing public purchases and contracts, opening bids for 16 tenders from various government entities totaling approximately 9.8 million dinars. Among these tenders, the Ministry of Education and Customs Affairs of the Ministry of Interior also awarded contracts for maintenance and repair services and the purchase of new firewall devices respectively.

In the Works sector, three major tenders were announced, including purchasing laboratory glassware and consumables, renting vehicles, and constructing a sewage network. Other notable tenders included BAPCO Exploration and Production winning a tender for supplying stainless steel sheets, and the Ministry of Works securing a tender for preventive maintenance of cultural buildings. The Electricity and Water Authority also received tenders for supplying heavy vehicle drivers and unskilled laborers, as well as for supplying and installing a plasma mass spectrometer.

BAPCO Refining was awarded tenders for urgently supplying stainless steel sheets and a primary and secondary floating roof sealing system. The Northern Governorate Municipality also won a tender for developing the Diraz Park. Additionally, the EWA opened a tender for renewing and replacing database center devices, and the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture received a tender for implementing activities for the Red Palm Weevil control project. These tenders cover a wide range of sectors and services provided by local and international companies.

Overall, the recent tender bids in Bahrain have seen significant participation with a total of 93 bids being received for various projects across different government entities. The competitive nature of these bids ensures that the government is able to secure the best services and products at the most cost-effective prices.
