Prime Minister holds meeting with Iranian President

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani recently met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Dr Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. The meeting started with HE the Prime Minister conveying the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to HE the Iranian President. HH the Amir also expressed his wishes for the Iranian people to see more development and prosperity in their country.

In return, HE the Iranian President sent his greetings to HH the Amir through HE the Prime Minister, wishing His Highness good health and happiness. The President also extended his wishes for the Qatari people to continue progressing, developing, and prospering. The meeting primarily focused on discussing bilateral cooperation relations between Qatar and Iran, as well as the current developments in the region. The leaders also explored ways to maintain security and stability in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by a delegation representing both countries, with Their Excellencies members of the Qatari official delegation accompanying HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Additionally, senior officials and ministers from the Iranian side were present at the meeting. The discussions held during the meeting underscored the importance of maintaining strong ties between the two nations and working collaboratively to address regional challenges.

As Qatar and Iran navigate through regional dynamics, both countries are keen on fostering mutual understanding and cooperation to promote peace and stability in the Middle East. The meeting between the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and the President of Iran signifies a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing dialogue on critical regional issues. Through such engagements, Qatar and Iran aim to contribute towards fostering a conducive environment for sustainable peace and security in the region.
