On the first day back to school in Dubai, authorities are taking steps to ensure road safety through the ‘A Day Without Accidents’ campaign on August 26. Brig Jumaa bin Suwaidan emphasized the importance of motorists following traffic laws to maintain the highest levels of safety for all road users. The campaign aligns with Dubai Police’s vision for a secure city by raising awareness and promoting traffic initiatives.

As part of the campaign, motorists are urged to adhere to speed limits, especially in school zones, avoid distractions such as using mobile phones, keep a safe distance between vehicles, yield to pedestrians, and give way to emergency vehicles. The goal is to increase traffic awareness and promote compliance with traffic instructions on the first day of the school year. By signing the initiative’s pledge, participants commit to avoiding any traffic violations or accidents on that day.

Participants who successfully complete the day without incidents will receive a traffic certificate of compliance and the chance to remove four black points from their driving license. To register and participate in the campaign, individuals can visit the official website of the Ministry of Interior. The initiative aims to incentivize safe driving practices and promote a culture of responsible behavior on the roads.

The ‘A Day Without Accidents’ campaign serves as a reminder for motorists to prioritize safety and follow traffic rules to prevent accidents and ensure a smooth transition back to school. By emphasizing the importance of compliance with regulations, authorities hope to reduce the risk of road incidents and protect all road users, especially students and pedestrians during this time of increased traffic.

As the new school year begins, it is crucial for drivers to exercise caution and remain vigilant on the roads. By staying informed and following the guidelines set forth by the campaign, motorists can contribute to creating a safer environment for everyone. Let us all work together to make ‘A Day Without Accidents’ a reality and prioritize safety on the roads for the well-being of all.
