The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) recently held a graduation ceremony for 57 Filipinos who completed a skills training program on baking. This program was a joint effort between the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Pinay Ikaw Na (PIN), aimed at providing Filipinos with valuable skills to enhance their lives. The event was filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread and cookies, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for the attendees.

During the ceremony, OWWA Welfare Officer Dr. Amelito S. Adel delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the importance of skill development in empowering Filipinos to achieve their goals. The participants shared inspiring stories of their personal journeys and how the baking program has made a positive impact on their lives. The event served as a platform to recognize the hard work and dedication of the graduates, highlighting their accomplishments in completing the training.

The graduation ceremony was graced by the presence of Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis, along with Consul Bryan Jess Baguio, Vice Consul Laser Blitz Sumagaysay, and MWO Officer-In-Charge, Celia V. Cabadonga. Their attendance added a unique significance to the occasion, acknowledging the achievements of the graduates and showing support for their continued success. The ambassadors’ presence also underscored the strong partnership between the Philippines and Bahrain in promoting the welfare and development of Filipino workers in the region.

The collaboration between OWWA, PIN, and the MWO highlights the commitment of various organizations to providing Filipinos with opportunities for skills development and personal growth. By offering programs like the baking training, these organizations are equipping individuals with valuable skills that can lead to sustainable employment and financial independence. This initiative aligns with the larger goal of supporting Filipino workers overseas and ensuring their well-being while living and working in foreign countries.

The baking class graduation ceremony not only celebrated the completion of the training program but also served as a testament to the resilience and determination of the Filipino community in Bahrain. The participants demonstrated their willingness to learn and grow, showcasing their talents and abilities in a new and exciting field. The event was a reminder of the importance of investing in skills development and education to empower individuals and uplift communities, ultimately contributing to a more prosperous and inclusive society.

Overall, the graduation ceremony for the baking skills training program was a meaningful and inspiring event that showcased the dedication and achievements of the Filipino participants. Through the support of OWWA, PIN, and the MWO, these individuals have been given the tools and resources to succeed in their chosen field. The presence of the Philippine Ambassador and other officials further emphasized the value of skills development and education in promoting the welfare and empowerment of Filipino workers in Bahrain. This initiative serves as a model for other countries and organizations seeking to uplift and support migrant workers through training and development programs.
