QRCS has launched a fundraising campaign to provide urgent relief to those affected by flash floods in Yemen. The campaign aims to assist over 123,000 people with a total cost of QR15.5m. Heavy rainfall and floods have caused widespread destruction in Yemen, with many casualties and thousands left homeless. Victims are in desperate need of food, medications, and shelter.
The fundraising campaign invites donors to support affected families by providing basic necessities such as food, health care supplies, home repair, and relief items. The goal is to stand by the Yemeni people, alleviate their suffering, and ensure their safety. The campaign includes emergency relief for flood-affected individuals, aid for poor families from Zakat Al Mal, distribution of food baskets to the needy, and home restoration for displaced individuals.
In addition to these efforts, QRCS plans to construct shelters, rainwater harvesting tanks, and provide medical equipment to support healthcare facilities in Yemen. The heavy rainfall and floods have impacted over 38,000 families and caused severe damage to homes, property, and public infrastructure. The UN reported 98 deaths and 600 injuries as a result of the floods, with many residents of displacement camps being affected.
Donations are welcomed from anyone wishing to support the people of Yemen during this critical time. Contributions can be made through the QRCS website, mobile app, donor service hotline, donation agents at malls, or home donation collection services.
