Al Rayyan set to play Al Duhail and Al Arabi in QSL Cup group stage

The QSL Cup draw took place in Doha, revealing tough matchups between title contenders Al Duhail, Al Rayyan, and Al Arabi in Group A. Qatar SC, Al Ahli, and Al Shahania are also part of this competitive group, with the tournament set to kick off on August 30. The draw was conducted at the Qatar Stars League headquarters, with club representatives and officials in attendance.

In Group B, Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Shamal, and Al Khor will battle it out for a spot in the knockout stages. The teams were divided into groups based on their final standings in the previous season’s league championship. Unfortunately, Al Sadd will not be participating in the tournament, as they were forced to apologize for their absence.

A Technical Meeting was also held to discuss the tournament’s conditions and regulations, as well as to finalize team kits and match day operations. The importance of adhering to the guidelines set forth by QSL and the Referees Department of Qatar Football Association was emphasized during the meeting. With the preparations underway, fans can expect an exciting and competitive tournament.

The draw has set the stage for thrilling matchups between some of the top teams in Qatar, with Group A promising to deliver intense battles between Al Duhail, Al Rayyan, Al Arabi, Qatar SC, Al Ahli, and Al Shahania. Group B, on the other hand, presents the opportunity for Al Gharafa, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Shamal, and Al Khor to showcase their skills and compete for a spot in the later stages of the tournament.

As the teams gear up for the start of the QSL Cup, fans can expect to see some high-quality football and fierce competition on the field. With the tournament set to kick off on August 30, all eyes will be on the participating clubs as they vie for glory and look to make their mark in this prestigious competition.
