Private schools and kindergartens in Doha, Qatar are gearing up for the new academic year 2024-25 by making final preparations to ensure a smooth and healthy environment for students. This includes maintenance of facilities such as air-conditioners, safety and security systems, lighting, cleaning, and disinfection. Some schools have also hired new teachers, upgraded educational systems, and improved facilities to meet the needs of their students. With 349 private schools and kindergartens operating in the country, there is a total of 237,931 students and 20,310 teachers, along with 7,278 administrative staff.

As the new school year approaches, parents are advised to help their children transition from the summer break back to a structured school routine. Experts recommend gradually reestablishing schedules to ensure students are well-rested and prepared for the academic year ahead. Parents should also be aware of common health concerns that may arise after a long break, such as changes in eating habits, seasonal allergies, and the mental stress associated with returning to school. It is important for parents to monitor their children’s health and well-being during this transition period.

Retail outlets in Qatar have launched a ‘back-to-school’ campaign with various offers and sales for the upcoming academic year. Malls and hypermarkets such as Carrefour, Center Point, and Lulu are offering a wide range of educational equipment and school accessories as part of the campaign. This initiative aims to help parents and students prepare for the new school year by providing them with everything they need for a successful academic experience.

Principal of Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ), Syed Asif Ali Shah, shared that the school’s management has been actively preparing for the new academic session since August 1. Teachers are scheduled to report back on August 25, a week before the official reopening of the school. They will undergo orientation sessions and professional development programs to enhance their teaching skills and methodologies. The school has also introduced new uniforms, sports uniforms, and printed notebooks for students, as well as carrying out renovation work on the campus to upgrade facilities and improve the learning environment.

Pakistan International School is expecting approximately 550 new students to join the campus for the new session starting on September 1, 2024. The school management is looking forward to welcoming these new members of the school community and supporting their education journey. With around 5,000 students benefiting from the school this year, PISQ is continuously enhancing its educational infrastructure by utilizing a learning management system (LMS) to streamline teaching and learning processes. The school has also installed projectors in classrooms for interactive learning and is planning to implement smartboards in the Cambridge section to further enrich the learning experience with advanced technology.

In conclusion, private schools and kindergartens in Doha, Qatar are making extensive preparations for the new academic year 2024-25 to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for their students. Parents are advised to help their children adjust to the school routine by gradually reestablishing schedules and monitoring their health during this transition period. Retail outlets in Qatar are offering various back-to-school deals to help parents and students prepare for the upcoming academic year. Pakistan International School Qatar is actively preparing for the new session, welcoming new students, and enhancing its educational infrastructure to provide a quality education experience for its students.
