The Roshn Saudi Professional League is set to begin its new season with exciting match-ups. Al Taawoun will host Al Fayha, while Al Nassr will face off against Al Raed. Last season’s runner-up, Al Nassr, is entering the season on shaky ground after a heavy defeat to Al Hilal in the Diriyah Super Cup final. With club president Ibrahim Al-Muhaideb resigning, the team will look to regroup under the leadership of coach Luís Castro.

Brazilian coach Odair Hellmann has been appointed by Al Raed, who also secured the signings of Saleh Al-Amri and Zakaria Hawsawi. Al Taawoun, on the other hand, is under the guidance of Argentine coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, and has added Moroccan midfielder Fayçal Fajr to their squad. Al Fayha, with new coach Christos Kontis, will look to make an impact after his success with Panathinaikos in the Greek Cup.

Al Wehda, led by German coach Josef Zinnbauer, will take on Al Riyadh, who have brought in French coach Sabri Lamouchi to replace Hellmann. The league resumes after Al Hilal clinched the championship in the previous season. Al Nassr and Al Raed were the only teams to defeat Al Nassr at home last season, with Al Raed winning 3-1 and Al Taawoun triumphing 2-0. The league promises to be an exciting one with new coaches, signings, and teams looking to make their mark.
