The Global Elite Competition of the Ten Recitations in Nairobi, Kenya, organized by the Muslim World League (MWL), saw participants from around the world competing in major and minor categories. The competition aims to promote the ten recitations of the Holy Qur’an and encourage experts in Qur’an memorization to study the science of recitations. This event, the first of its kind, also seeks to foster a spirit of fair competition among participants, while motivating and honoring them for their dedication to the Qur’an and its teachings.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary General of MWL, highlighted the league’s commitment to serving the Qur’an and the Sunnah. He emphasized the significant responsibility of education and guidance that MWL upholds in promoting contemplation and adherence to the Qur’anic teachings. The league aims to prepare a capable and distinguished generation of expert Qur’an memorizers by nurturing their skills and promoting their adherence to the morals and guidance of the Qur’an.

The attendees at the competition included Qur’an memorization experts accredited in the ten recitations from various parts of the world, as well as prominent African scholars. Through this event, MWL strives to introduce the Qur’an recitations to a wider audience and provide a platform for experts to showcase their skills. By encouraging healthy competition and recognizing the efforts of participants, MWL aims to inspire a new generation of Qur’an memorizers who are dedicated to upholding the values of the Qur’an in their lives.

The competition not only serves as a platform for participants to showcase their memorization skills but also as an opportunity for them to deepen their understanding of the Qur’an. By studying the science of Qur’an recitations, participants enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the text, fostering a deeper connection with the teachings of the Qur’an. This event highlights the importance of memorization and recitation in preserving the sacred text and passing it on to future generations.

MWL’s dedication to promoting the Qur’an and its teachings through events like the Global Elite Competition of the Ten Recitations reflects its commitment to education and guidance. By honoring and caring for Qur’an memorization experts and scholars, the league aims to nurture a community of individuals who embody the morals and guidance of the Qur’an. Through initiatives like this competition, MWL encourages individuals to engage with the Qur’an in a meaningful way, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of its teachings.

In conclusion, the Global Elite Competition of the Ten Recitations organized by the Muslim World League in Nairobi serves as a platform for Qur’an memorization experts to showcase their skills and deepen their understanding of the Qur’an. The event promotes healthy competition, recognition, and encouragement for participants, with the aim of fostering a new generation of expert Qur’an memorizers. By upholding the values and teachings of the Qur’an, MWL continues to serve the Islamic world and promote contemplation and adherence to the Qur’anic teachings.
