Dubai is set to welcome 39 new private schools, nurseries, and universities for the upcoming academic year, adding over 16,000 seats to the emirate’s private school sector. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced the new institutions, which cover a range of fee levels. The new openings include five UK-curriculum schools like Dubai British School Jumeirah and Springfield International School, as well as a French-curriculum school, Lycée Francais Jean Mermoz South. Additionally, 29 new early childhood centres (ECCs) are expected to open, offering the UK early years foundation stage curriculum.

The higher education landscape is also expanding in Dubai, with four new KHDA-licensed institutions set to open during the 2024-25 academic year. These institutions include SKEMA Business School from France, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics from Russia, Symbiosis International University from India, and Neohorizon School of Business, a partnership between the UAE and China offering a dedicated master’s degree in business. The Director-General of KHDA, Aisha Miran, emphasized that these new educational institutions are not just about adding numbers but creating more opportunities for children and youth in Dubai. The goal is to strengthen Dubai’s reputation as a leading destination for high-quality education and support the needs of students, educators, and families.

The new schools, nurseries, and universities are part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance its education sector and provide students with access to diverse and high-quality educational options. By expanding the private school sector, the emirate is catering to the increasing demand for education while ensuring that students have access to a range of curriculums and learning environments. The addition of new UK and French-curriculum schools, as well as international higher education institutions, reflects Dubai’s commitment to offering a global standard of education and preparing students for future success.

The announcement of 39 new educational institutions in Dubai demonstrates the emirate’s focus on continuous growth and development in the education sector. By increasing the number of private schools, nurseries, and universities, Dubai is addressing the needs of a diverse student population and providing families with more choices when it comes to their children’s education. The expansion of the higher education landscape also highlights Dubai’s commitment to offering a wide range of academic opportunities for students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.

As Dubai continues to establish itself as a hub for education excellence, the addition of 39 new educational institutions further solidifies the emirate’s position as a leading destination for global education. The diverse range of schools, nurseries, and universities opening in Dubai for the upcoming academic year reflects the emirate’s dedication to providing students with access to high-quality education across various curriculums and educational levels. With the support of the KHDA and other educational authorities, Dubai is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of its students and provide them with the resources and opportunities needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
