Al Duhail has set an impressive start to the new Ooredoo Stars League season, scoring 10 goals in their first two matches. The team, led by Christophe Galtier, secured a resounding 6-1 victory over Qatar SC in their first game and followed it up with a 4-0 thrashing of Al Rayyan. These wins have placed them at the top of the league standings and have established them as serious contenders for the domestic titles this season.

Despite missing out on this season’s Asian club tournaments, Al Duhail’s strong performance in the early stages of the OSL has sent a strong message to their title rivals. Coach Galtier has urged his players to remain focused and humble as they look to build on their early success. The team is set to face Umm Salal in their next match, with Galtier expecting a tough challenge against the Orange Fortress.

Al Ahli, who secured a thrilling victory over Al Gharafa, are also off to a strong start and currently sit in second place with four points. Meanwhile, defending champions Al Sadd bounced back from their shock defeat in the opener with a dominant 6-1 win over Qatar SC. Despite the victory, veteran player Hassan Al Haydos has called for improvements in finishing attacks.

Al Rayyan, who suffered a defeat at the hands of Al Duhail, are currently in sixth place in the standings. Their upcoming match against Al Gharafa will be crucial as they look to bounce back from their early setback. However, Al Gharafa, who finished third last season, are also looking to redeem themselves after slipping to 11th place in the standings.

Overall, the new Ooredoo Stars League season has provided fans with thrilling matches and early surprises. With strong performances from teams like Al Duhail and Al Ahli, the competition for the domestic titles promises to be intense. As the season progresses, fans can expect more exciting matches and fierce competition as teams battle for supremacy in the OSL.
