Muscat: Khazaen Dry Port (KDP) and DHL Global Forwarding have formed a strategic collaboration to provide Less-than-Container Load (LCL) consolidation services. This partnership involves container handling, unstuffing, and warehousing of goods at the KDP Container Freight Station. The aim is to enhance customer experience by facilitating receipt of goods and enabling seamless last-mile delivery services from KDP, which will now act as DHL’s hub for LCL customers across the Sultanate.

The collaboration between KDP and DHL reflects a commitment to innovation, supply chain optimization, and meeting the evolving demands of the regional market. This partnership is expected to benefit both organizations and their customers. For KDP, it reinforces its position as a key logistics hub in the region, attracting more businesses and investments. DHL gains access to a world-class facility and expertise to better serve its customers in Oman and the region.

Customers will benefit from streamlined processes, reduced costs, and improved efficiency with logistics operations now closer to the end market. The collaboration is also expected to stimulate economic growth in the region by facilitating trade and creating new job opportunities. Saad Bait Nasib, Executive Director at KDP, mentioned that the partnership with DHL marks a significant milestone in their journey to become a leading logistics hub in the region. Roy Scaria, DHL Oman Country Manager, expressed excitement about collaborating with KDP to enhance their presence in the region and provide customers with greater value.

The partnership leverages KDP’s state-of-the-art facilities and strategic location, combined with DHL’s global network and expertise, to offer a seamless, end-to-end LCL solution that simplifies international trade for SMEs, entrepreneurs, and individual customers. This integrated approach streamlines processes, reduces costs, accelerates transit times, and provides enhanced visibility and security. Aligned with Asyad Group’s strategy, KDP continues to attract major industry players and build partnerships that can bolster Oman’s logistics sector.

By forming alliances, businesses of all sizes can confidently access global markets, fostering growth and economic development in Oman, and advancing connectivity throughout the region. With the collaboration between KDP and DHL, customers can expect improved services, reduced costs, and enhanced efficiency, helping them navigate the complexities of international trade more effectively. This strategic partnership is a significant step towards positioning KDP as a leading logistics hub in the region and creating new opportunities for economic growth and development.
