The Hunting & Falconry Stamps exhibition at Cultural Village Foundation – Katara in Doha is attracting a large number of visitors, including citizens, expatriates, and tourists. The exhibition, showcasing falcon and hunting stamps from across the Arab world, highlights the role of these themes in the history of Arabic postal stamps. Organised by the Arab Postage Stamps Museum and the Qatar Philatelic & Numismatic Club, the exhibition aims to preserve and present the historical legacy of falconry to the international community.

Visitors to the exhibition have expressed their appreciation for the organisers for presenting the historical legacy of falconry through a fantastic exhibition. One visitor, Norine Joanson, shared her reflections on the exhibition, stating that it not only provides valuable information about falcons but also brings back fond memories of the past. The Joanson family, who have been passionate about falconry and bird photography for the past 15 years, found the exhibition to be an enriching experience that offered a new perspective on the cultural importance of falcons.

Stephan Schenk, a Miami Beach resident and stamp collector since childhood, remarked that after visiting the exhibition, he realised the need to add falcon stamps to his collection. The exhibition has also attracted international visitors, such as Omani visitor Khalid Al Shukri, who stated that it deepened his understanding of the significance of falcons in Qatari culture. Fatma Saleh from the Arab Postage Stamps Museum highlighted the significance of the stamp exhibition as a collaborative effort to introduce the historical legacy of falconry to a wider audience.

The exhibition aims to showcase the beauty and historical value of falcon stamps from all over the Arab countries. Despite just recently opening, the exhibition has received an excellent turnout, with organisers anticipating an even greater number of visitors as they approach the highly anticipated 8th edition of the Katara International Hunting & Falconry Exhibition this September. The exhibition not only serves as a platform to educate the public about falconry but also as a reminder of the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. With its diverse range of stamps and educational displays, the exhibition promises to be a captivating experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
