Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have recently collaborated on a new song titled Die With a Smile. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that in the video of the song, both artists can be seen performing on a “retro stage” with Mars wearing a cowboy hat and Gaga in bright red tights. Gaga mentioned that the song is for her fans as they wait for her upcoming album, LG7, which does not have a release date yet.

Die With a Smile marks some of the first new music released in years from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. Lady Gaga released an album with Tony Bennett in 2021 and her hit song Hold My Hand was featured in Top Gun: Maverick in 2022, but her last major solo music release was Chromatica in 2020. Mars won two Grammys for his Silk Sonic project with Anderson .Paak in 2022, with his last major solo release dating back to 2016.

In a press release, Gaga expressed her admiration for Mars, stating that they have mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating. She mentioned that after a long day of finishing up her album in Malibu, Mars invited her to his studio where she was blown away by the music he was working on. The two artists stayed up all night to write and record the song, with Gaga praising Mars for his talent and musicianship.

Mars also expressed his excitement about working with Gaga, calling her an icon and describing the song as magical with her involvement. Die With a Smile was co-produced by Gaga and Mars along with D’Mile and Andrew Watt. The music video for the song is directed by Daniel Ramos and Mars. Gaga is set to star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming film Joker: Folie A Deux.

The collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars on Die With a Smile has generated a lot of buzz among fans of both artists. With Gaga’s eagerly anticipated album LG7 on the horizon, this new song serves as a sneak peek into what fans can expect from her upcoming music. Mars’ continued success and musical prowess also contribute to the excitement surrounding this collaboration.

Die With a Smile is a testament to the undeniable chemistry between Gaga and Mars, showcasing their artistry and creativity in a fresh and unique way. As fans eagerly await more details about LG7 and the future projects of both artists, the release of this song serves as a tantalizing glimpse into the musical magic that Gaga and Mars are capable of creating together.
