The environmental initiative in the Northern Governorate’s first district continued with a site visit to Jannasen and Barbar. Northern Governor Mr. Ali Al Asfour, along with other officials, examined sources of insect breeding linked to various types of waste that promote mosquito infestations. During the visit to Jannasen Beach, a clean-up effort was launched, engaging local residents following complaints about insect issues. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to promote environmental safety and achieve certification as a ‘healthy governorate’. Further visits to the Jellyfish Factory, Jaradah Fish, and Blue Swimming Crab Factory in Jannasen involved discussions on waste recycling processes for producing organic fertilizer and animal feed.
