Jordan and LMRA to cooperate in combating human trafficking

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer, Nibras Mohammed Talib, recently discussed enhancing cooperation in combating trafficking in persons with the National Committee to Prevent Human Trafficking in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The meeting, held via video conference, emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and developing tools and procedures to combat this crime. Talib highlighted Bahrain’s readiness to provide expertise and experiences to support Jordan’s efforts in combating trafficking in persons.

Talib pointed out the Kingdom of Bahrain’s system for combating trafficking in persons, which is based on pillars such as protection, prevention, prosecution, and partnership. He discussed various initiatives, projects, and measures taken by Bahrain to enhance efforts in combating human trafficking and protecting the rights of employers. One of these measures includes the establishment of the Migrant Workers Protection Center, showing Bahrain’s commitment to addressing this issue.

The meeting also involved discussions on the importance of cooperation between both countries to combat trafficking in persons effectively. The exchange of expertise and collaboration in developing tools and procedures were emphasized as crucial steps in combating this crime. The meeting highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to supporting Jordan in their efforts to combat trafficking in persons by sharing their knowledge and experiences in this area.

The CEO emphasized the significance of partnership and cooperation in combating trafficking in persons. By working together, both countries can enhance their efforts and have a more significant impact in preventing and prosecuting those involved in human trafficking. The meeting stressed the importance of a united front in combating this crime and the need for continuous collaboration between Bahrain and Jordan.

The National Committee to Prevent Human Trafficking in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by Judge Dr. Saad Al-Lawzi, also expressed their commitment to combatting trafficking in persons. The discussions during the meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise to improve efforts in combating this crime. The meeting highlighted the mutual goal shared by both countries in addressing and preventing human trafficking.
